Fr. Mario Ghosn was born in Lebanon on August 3, 1973, and grew up in Ajaltoun with his siblings, surrounded by faith and family, attending Mar Zakhia Church and Saint Joseph Church—the latter built by his own family.

His schooling took him to Sacré‑Cœur, Gemayze, and then Mont‑LaSalle. He later studied Business Marketing at NDU, where he met the love of his life, Maya.

They married in 1996 and moved to the United States in 1999. God blessed them with three children—Jean, Mario Jr., and Rita—and recently with their first granddaughter, the sweet Mila.

From a young age, Mario felt the Lord’s quiet call. His father taught him to stay close to the Virgin Mary, and that devotion has shaped his life ever since. In the U.S., he worked in the restaurant industry, managing a large chain and eventually opening his own. Yet he always sensed a deeper calling—to feed not only hungry stomachs, but hungry souls.

In 2020, he entered the Subdiaconate Program and later began studying theology at Holy Apostles College and Seminary. Through prayer and discernment, he recognized the priesthood as the path God had prepared for him. His ordination on May 30, 2026 was a moment of grace for him, his family, and our entire community.
